A big welcome to Gods of the Underworld, the new band from South East London in UK, with Rob Bartlitz being the principal song-writer, singer and guitarist, who is ably joined by Kaveh Ghandizadeh on bass and Carl Amos on drums.  

Rob Bartlitz - vocal and guitar

Rob is a classically trained musician with lots of experience in many different genres, having performed music on stage since he was 6 years old.  He was born in Poland, where he sang in an internationally recognized choir across of the whole of Europe.  He composes his own songs and has been active on the local music scene for years, most notably at The Icarus Club.  He grew up listening mainly to Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, and Bob Dylan, but draws influences from a whole range of diverse music, including jazz, hip-hop, and funk.

Kaveh Ghandizadeh Dezfuli - bass

Kaveh started playing at 11, achieving BMus at Tehran Central Faculty of Arts and Architecture. He then moved to UK in 2010 and studied bass performance and production at the London Centre of Contemporary Music, where he got the chance to hone his skills under such names as John McKenzie, Geoff Gascoyne, and Ernie McKone. He counts his musical influences as David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, and more recently Lee "Scratch" Perry.  He has been recently active in South East London, supporting local singer-songwriters, and has played with bands of various backgrounds and styles, such as reggae, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. 

Carl Amos - drums

Carl has been playing drums since he was 11 years old, and has over the years played with various bands on the local scene, such as The Vetoes, particularly in bars and halls around the Dartford area.  He has been heavily influenced by his childhood heroes Cozy Powell from Rainbow, Brian Downey from Thin Lizzy, and most notably Neil Peart from Rush. He loves listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush, and Joe Bonnamassa.

Rob asked Kaveh and Carl to support him at the Chickenstock Music Festival in 2022, and since then they have been rehearsing as a full band.  Now it is time to unleash the beast that is Gods of the Underworld.
